Interesting how he invokes the death penalty for spying which is a treason charge… when it’s likely that charges of treasons will
Be brought against Trump, if everyone listens to his voice selling middle America agricultural business and having everyone stay at his managed properties.

@Behindthen0thing One crime does not excuse another. And if Obama did so many bad things, why did the Republicans not investigate, and if they found grounds, impeach? If you are telling me because the Republicans are just ‘nicer’, than I’d say that is a seriously bad niceness, because their job is to keep checks and balances. It isn’t about sitting on your behind and have a great time, but to keep track on what is going on in regards of corruption and abuse of power. This of course goes for any representative of the people, they are voted into place to work on policies and to stand against corruption. All sides have bad apples, all sides need to follow up without thinking of party first. Whoever fails to do that is corrupt as well, party or supporter. There are rights and there are wrongs, and we all know them, unless of course we are lacking any moral compass, which unfortunately does seem more and more the case for a lot of people.

The DNI testimony was sad. I understand Maguire’s long term service to the country but good sense has to come into play at some point. You don’t ask the subject of an investigation what you should do with a report about the subject’s transgressions. What part of “compromised” and “conflict of interest” is so hard to understand that a Director of National Intelligence couldn’t see the problem in going to the White House with the report? Maguire kept citing protocol to explain his decisions. Maguire said he had no one else to consult with. How about this…you give it to Congress. Citing binding protocol of the executive branch makes no sense what-so-ever when a matter of this magnitude is at hand and the president himself is the subject of the complaint. Oversight matters and the whistleblower clearly demonstrated he/she understands that and the gravity of the situation. Maguire at times looked like a man trying not to anger his new boss and lose his job in his testimony.

The complaint and report are clear. Regardless of whether the whistleblower had first hand knowledge or not became irrelevant when the Trump appointed IG found the complaint credible and compelling after his own two week investigation, which removes any doubt about the validity of the complaint. The fact that the DoJ said there was nothing to investigate after seeing the complaint/report is damning and points to corruption. Also, Trump ADMITTED on camera he talked to the Ukrainian president about investigating the Bidens, dangling millions of dollars in military aid in the bargain and thereby attempting to influence the upcoming 2020 election. Trump also called out Guliani and AG Barr by name showing they’re complicit in this scheme. Trump then backed it up by releasing the transcript which was just bloody brilliant. That’s like a president that’s a serial killer, showing the FBI where the bodies are and how he killed the victims but then asking “what’s the big deal” when people are outraged.

I agree. Maguire sounds like an admirable man but one who was still living with a military-based mind-set; Don’t question your orders – walk out into the machine gun fire with your stick held high proudly [and die along with thousands of others]. That he communicated with the FBI implies he was not completely convinced he had done the right thing by involving the WH, but he did it and he will lose his job because of that. He was treating Trump literally as a Deity.and that implies he values rules from above over common-sense.

Logain UBiv Tnomal Ablar Excellent analysis. When someone is accused of a crime, he or she is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Here we have just the opposite by his own admission (trump).

How can we give him the benefit of doubt when he’s insinuating possible retaliatory attacks aimed at those for coming forward?

Anything and everything from here on out the President says or tweets on the matter will be scrutinize, and for the life of me, I just can’t believe he doesn’t fully comprehend that.

We are the chief of meddling, stealing ressources and policing the rest of the world. Are we going to start telling on each other for now on. What happened to Ukraine if it is true, is their problem, not our. There is no gain to our part. We con other contries left to right, what is so special now. Kiddo there is no friendship between countries there is always strings attached. Let’s pretend he asked to investigate one of his kids from his “besties”, what would you think of him? And what would the rest of the world think of him. Pure greed. Self interest. You have a good night.

@Jody Alred I dont see any greed. The situation with the Biden’s is worth looking into. But you need more than this for a crime. This call would be laughed out of court. We should not be impeaching presidents because we dont like them. That is very dangerous, but here we are. He didnt ask to have Hunter locked up or killed or anything. There is so much we dont know yet. Hilary Clinton colluded with Ukraine to get Trump investigated. It was reported by Politico but no one cares because the media works for the Democrats. Good night.

True patriot whistleblower? Doesn’t whistleblower have to be present for the information whether seen her Etc and not secondhand? How to look up the law I miss. But this whole whistleblower term, this so-called hero.. Kind of sounds like a childish thing. There’s an exercise that shows are proved she go from one topic to another and things get exaggerated or Miss represented from one person to the next. Thus, I believe there’s a reason that it was so blower is supposed to be the one directly involved? Is this wrong? Again, have to look up the law. But this sounds logical
