    “You only have the right to meet your accuser IN A COURT OF LAW” Finally someone on TV enunciates it. Thank You Steven Colbert.

      @World’s Netizen
      No the affair was fine. You can’t impeach someone for cheating on their spouse. He lied in a court of law and that is perjury. It was still shaky ground to begin impeachment proceedings and Republicans lost that one. I think what Trump did goes way beyond anything Clinton ever did. So the bar’s already been lowered, and the reason for that lies entirely at the hands of the Republican party in the 90s.

      Just a side note. I recently noticed that two prominent Republicans tied to either scandal have similar names. Bob Barr in 1998 and Bill Barr today. I checked, they aren’t related, but that would have been a hell of a laugh if they were.

      @Ray Ceeya He lied for what? And that was a real set-up designed for Clinton’s weakness and a partisan impeachment which aims to punish and hurt Clintons, rather than protect the public interests. The party of law and order literaly commited what they accused of Dems. Watch what Reps do to Trump this time, X-ray time.

      @World’s Netizen I totally agree with you. I was a senior in high school in 1998 and that was the first year I voted. The Clinton impeachment was very formative for me. Clinton did perjure himself, but it was over something that wasn’t illegal and TBH it wasn’t anyone’s business to ask those questions in the first place. Two consenting adults can do whatever they want with their naughty bits. It’s a free country after all.

      I’m going to continue comparing and contrasting and contrasting the Trump impeachment though. IMO Trump committed Treason with a capital “T”. Probably more than once. The Muller report only just barely absolved him of the highest crime in the nation (Treason) but now we caught him red handed, trying to do the thing he was accused of doing in 2016. Only this time he practically admitted to it.

      I wish there were more Mafia bosses like Trump. It would make the cops job a lot easier.

      @Ray Ceeya Really? The facts need to be examined? Here is a question from an inquiring mind…why is the Chairman stating in September BEFORE the inquiry started that the evidence WOULD show that Trump violated his oath of office and committed a crime? That is not what an examiner says, that is what a prosecutor states in his opening statement. You see, Schiff has reached a conclusion beforehand and is working his way backwards and that taints this process—whether or not Trump is guilty of anything impeachable. That is coming from an Independent with no dog in this fight…but you guys sure did pick the most biased person in Congress and it will not resonate with the American public who has not made up their mind. Also, the other Presidents, including Clinton and Nixon, had a process set up in the House where they could call witnesses and cross examine and have attorneys present. They did not need permission from Newt Gingrich, for instance. So, Schiff is a tyrant compared to Newt Gingrich, or is hiding something…or maybe this:

      @Revizionary Enterprises “you guys sure did pick the most biased person in Congress” I didn’t pick him, I’m also not a Democrat.

      “will not resonate with the American public who has not made up their mind.”
      Who cares how it resonates? This is about prosecuting a criminal for committing a crime.

      “Clinton and Nixon, had a process set up in the House where they could call witnesses and cross examine and have attorneys present.” We’re two days into public testimony, They’ll get their chance. The real circus is going to start when Trump’s lawyers do start calling witnesses. I can guarantee you they”ll just use it as a way to gum up the system and delay the house vote as long as possible.

      “Volha Teagle” and “Kitty Sez” = same person. Ran all of “their” (likely just his) comments through a textual similarity analysis algorithm and got a 94.6% match. The likelihood of two random people having nearly identical (idiosyncratic) writing patterns meeting in the same place, arguing with the same person, is incredibly low.

      Judging from the typos like “weekly flair,” these comments were likely written in quick succession, hastily, probably between writing comments on other videos. These people are at it 16 hours a day. Gotta wonder how they pay rent, right?

      Buddy…. You do realize that plague doctors were like… An actual thing, right? Like during the black plague hundreds of years ago that’s what the doctors treating plague victims looked like. The beak was filled with potpourri and whatnot bc they believed that diseases spread via bad air/bad smells. And the fearsome appearance was to try and scare the demons or spirits or whatever they thought were afflicting the the sick and causing their ailment.

      Old timey medicine was whack basically. Beyond this their go to medical treatment for… Well everything was blood letting. So. Yea….

      The black death. 1347 to 1351. In four years it killed between 75 to 200 million. 30 to 60% of the European population, and that’s not including the fatalities in Asia. Best case scenario, 75 million, that was over 50 thousand people a day.

      @ya yaya Really, really hard to get to where you are here. Maybe if there was the person’s named labeled next to it, I could’ve gotten a better idea. Restate in more of an MBA fashion…make it direct to the point, putting the other person’s point direct to the point, and make it as short as possible. That’s how the true MBA thinks because there’s lots to do. The fake ones a true MBA knows instinctively.
