I have been in the nursing field for 44 yrs and there has always been disregard for nurse patient/Resident ratios and it hasn’t improved even with more acute care. Most of us chose this field because it’s a “calling” for us to help others and stand up for their rights but, speaking up for our patients or Residents in Long-term Care lends us to being a replaceable position. This needs to change because most Nurse’s fight with internal conflict between loyalty to the hospital/facility & advocacy/protection for their patients/Residents. Hopefully, a change to this treatment of Nurse’s will occur in my lifetime.
Idk it sounds like the typical issues with many hospitals right now. They’re all having covid19, staffing, and PPE issues, and I’m sure the hospitals upper management is doing the best they can. Imo if you work with covid19 patients then you just need to expect that you and your coworkers are going to be overworked, understaffed, and you will all eventually be infected. It’s not perfect but this the reality.
Every hospital is expecting their staff to reuse masks just like this nurse stated. I break one of the straps after using for 3 days to get a new one. Any longer than that makes my face itch really bad.

Those eyebrows 😂😂😂
A bigger concern is her eyebrows. Hot damn. Scary.
So much negativity in this world!!….smh I salute her and all healthcare workers for what they do. Her eyebrows are so irrelevant!!
Do a follow up story telling us where she has her next nursing job. I want to know because that is where I want to go for future care.
I second that!
The good people get out of everything.

Don’t go to a hospital.
“If nurses don’t have the right to be heard about patient safety issues, then I’m in the wrong profession.”
Yes, you and I are both in the wrong profession. Bravo for standing up and speaking out.
The Hospital management is full of SH!T.
HCQ + zinc works.
Sodium chlorine in the form of CDS or even MMS works (15+ drops mixed then diluted in water)
Yes and the more staff are vaccinated they will test positive for the virus and feel the effects
